Well... if you really want to know...

I graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Queensland in 1991 and completed my Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists at the end of 2008.

I live in Brisbane, Australia - where I was born - with my wonderful wife and three amazing children.

I am currently an anaesthetist at a major non-government public/private tertiary hospital in Brisbane.

Before my wife finally convinced me that I wasn't too old to pursue my true love (anaesthetics) I whittled away a few years in medical administration and other things, picking up a Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology along the way.

In the mid 1990s I had worked for the UK NHS Executive in their Information Management Group where I learnt a bit about computerised knowledge representation and knowledge engineering. Apart from that, I blame my programming ability on a misspent youth.
