Q:   Why does gasboys want my email address?
A: Gasboys asks all users to supply an email address. Practically, this comes in pretty handy if you forget your password, as you can ask gasboys to email it to you (from the log-in page).

Also, soon gasboys will give you the option of ‘watching’ the questions you edit, so that if anybody edits them you can choose to receive and email.

Gasboys will not spam you. (See the privacy policy for more information.

If you wish you can supply a fake email address, although you must at least go through the motions of typing in something that looks like an email address.
