Ok, so it's taken me a while to get around to it, but I've finally zapped the spam and erected an electric fence. It took me a while because there was no point deleting the spam until I could stop more being posted... and that involved me either doing a risk software upgrade or modifying the someone else's code. Anyway I bit the bullet and tweaked the 'phpwebsite' software so you have to enter the word 'peace' when you type in a comment.... grrrrr why 'peace' you ask? Well it's a bit ironic really... the other alternative was 'death to spammers'.... sigh Being a good Amnesty International supporters I feel a bit guilty for not going with 'a fair trial followed by an appropriate custodial sentence in a human dentition facility'... but to be honest having wasted an evening on these jokers I not in the mood! |
